It’s a boy!! January 26, 2009

It has taken forever for me to update this, but yes we are having a boy.  His name will be Andrew Dewayne.  It is hard to believe that in only 4 months he will be here!!  We have already put most of the nursey together and I have even gotten a few outfits or him.

Turkey Day November 24, 2008

This year is my first year ever hosting Thanksgiving at my house.  It will be my first year cooking a turkey too.  I hope it turns out ok. haha.  Anyway i am excited and a little nervous cause i am making several things I have never made before like the Turkey, stuffing (stove top), and apple pie and green bean casserole.  Anyone else making something new this year or have turkey cooking advice?

What trials or tests are you facing today?

Don’t know what I would do without God! May 30, 2008

Well as most of you probably know I am no longer pregnant.  It is sad yes, but God has really been helping me through it.  I feel like I am handling this very well, and its all because of Jesus Christ and the wonderful family and church family and friends that I have been blessed to be surrounded by.  I have realized that I just need to stay focused on the positive side of things like: I know I can get pregnant, I can go on the missions trip, i can keep the job that I love for longer and i am going to be by myself when i am pregnant or at least there most likely wont be as many friends pregnant at the same time as me and i can get all the hand me downs that the others who are before don’t want to hold onto!  I have found that by focusing on those things i am not as upset as some people have told me they were when they lost a child.  I know that God has wonderful children planned for Paul and my life and hopefully I will be able to write that I am pregnant again by the end of the year.  For now I will keep my mind on the positive and pray for God to bless us with another child that is healthy.  I’m praying for a little girl!!!!

My Puppy April 2, 2008

I absolutely love having a puppy, but I can definitely say I feel like I have a baby.  Always feeding, cleaning up messes, even giving him meds when he is sick.  Anyway I wouldn’t trade it for the world.  I guess you can say i am training for when God finally decides to bless Paul and I with a Baby.

Sometimes you just need something diffrent. March 26, 2008

So recently my quiet times started becoming more of a habit then a special time with Jesus.  It started to become a routine and to be honest a bit boring.  It was the same thing over and over.  So i decided to change things up a bit.  Rather then just reading a few verses in the Bible and meditating on them, I started to read a section a day in an amazing book called Captivating by John and Stasi Eldredge.  It basically goes through and tells us as Women why we are what we are.  I am learning so much from it and quiet times have gone back to the way they were when they truly started my day off right.

Anyhow, the second chapter goes into the story of creation and starts of a teaching of what we can learn from Eve.  One thing was the fact that “she was the crescendo, the final, astonishing work of God.” (pg 25)  It also tells us that the world would be incomplete with out us and that we were created in Gods image and that makes us beautiful.  This point made me realize that no matter what the world says we as women are beautiful because of what is in our hearts!  So always remember girls that you truly are beautiful!

Well I have finally feel into the trend of blogging.  Hopefully I will keep up with this one a little better then I have with myspace.
